President of Bangladesh Medical Association (BMA) and former MP of ruling Awami League Dr Mostafa Jalal Mohiuddin tested positive for novel coronavirus on Monday.

Confirming the news, BMA Secretary General Dr Ehteshamul Haque Chowdhury said his condition is stable now but still he is suffering from fever.

Mostafa Jalal, the former BCL leader, is now receiving treatment at Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH).

Dr Mostafa was suffering from fever and cough since Friday and on Monday his test result for Covid-19 turned out positive,” Dr Ehteshamul said.
